Hey gangsters,

We have made a tough decision at the end of the round to temporarily close the game for additional development. It hasn’t been an easy decision, but ultimately, we have struggled to grow over the last few rounds. We have been unable to attract teams to compete and the majority of new players don't want their progression to be reset each round. The game simply isn't in the state we would like it to be and temporarily closing the game will allow for faster development and ease the pressure of all the work that goes into new rounds. We understand this may be disappointing news, but rest assured, Mafia Order will most definitely be back and in a much better state!

What's next?
Well, we will still be holding an event this Friday at 17.00 UTC, which will continue for the remainder of the current V1.6 round (until 30th April, 17.00 UTC). However, it will not be the anticipated Raid Event, as we've decided to save the new items for the future. Instead, we will likely run some kind of deathmatch where ranking will be extremely quick.

Afterwards, we will close the game to the public and begin development. We will open pre-registration as quickly as possible and run adverts throughout the downtime to promote the game for the re-launch. We estimate to have an alpha version of V2 ready in Autumn 2024.

What are our re-development plans?
We have big plans ahead, we want to completely redesign the user interface to become much more user friendly and cleaner. The theme has already been created, we now have the mammoth task of redesigning every page. We plan to create two separate versions of Mafia Order, a hardcore version as the game currently operates and a persistent life version that never ends. Both games will run separately and have some unique features. Due to the nature of a persistent game never ending, we need to add more content and character progression to encourage long-term activity and community growth.
